McKeown bail changed

A BAIL review on December 6 at the Broken Hill local court changed conditions for alleged paedophile Thomas McKeown following his committal hearing being adjourned on November 26.

The committal hearing was pushed to January 21 after Mr McKeown suffering drastic spinal injuries.

The former teacher is accused of 34 counts of alleged aggressive sexually touching children during his time as a teacher in Broken Hill.

Mr McKeown’s bail terms, originally set on September 11, have been reviewed. They now include compulsory daily reports three times a week to Hornsby Police Station, being subject to random police home checks, not to approach or communicate with anyone under 18 by any means, and not to use more than one mobile service and SIM card which he provides the password of to the Broken Hill Police Station.
